Rotting from the inside

The following is from a report on a conversation at the burning church mission.
SAN GABRIEL, Calif. (ChurchMilitant.com) - A spokesperson for California's San Gabriel Arcángel Mission reportedly told a fellow Catholic that it's "justified" to attack churches and statues if they're deemed offensive.
The remark was made July 11 to Beatrice Cardenas, , as she was surveying fire damage at the historic mission.
According to Cardenas, San Gabriel Mission communications director Terry Huerta told her the religious outpost, founded in 1771 by St. Junípero Serra, "represented pain to a lot of people."

When Cardenas countered that didn't give anyone a right to set a church or a building on fire, Huerta responded, "Yes, it does. You and I also have the right to do that if we wanted to because this is a free country."
The conversation took place amid "a very emotional scene," said Cardenas, who described many people gathered at the smoldering remnants of the church as hugging and crying.
Don’t miss the fact that this was said by the communications director for the mission. The very place that employs him. The place to which he should have some allegiance at the very least.
The erosion of the basic principles of respect, civility or even empathy is weighing heavily on America. This Terry Heurta is a prime example of the mindset that is running rampant in elected office holders across the country.
DeBlazio paints Black Lives Matter on Fifth Avenue in New York City and allows City Hall Park to be occupied. Portland Mayor and the Oregon Governor defend violent riots and mobs while accusing law enforcement for inciting the behavior. That is like blaming a doctor because you are sick. The New York Governor creates a bail reform act that virtually has criminals back on the streets before the arresting officers get home. George Floyds' murder, as regrettable as it was, is being used as a cudgel against all police. The atmosphere against the Police has fostered the summary firing of many before any due process for actions that in most cases would be justified. Chicago has rampant murders and shootings, including that of many children, and the Mayor refuses an offer of Federal help to end the violence.
So the burning of the Mission Church is “justified” because of an alleged tainted history that some find offensive, yet an innocent couple about to sit down to dinner protecting themselves against an angry mob just feet from their front door find themselves faced with prosecution.
The combination of the cancel culture and BLM movement is a force to be reckoned with. The intimidation of regular citizens makes them fearful to stand up to obvious destructive rhetoric and actions aimed to undermine our society.
The activists have learned their lessons very well. The reaction to the death of George Floyd seemed to be spontaneous. In fact, there was extensive planning in place waiting for an event to trigger its execution. There in lies the understanding of what is really going on. It is all aimed at the subversion of everything the United States stands for and complete over running of our republic.
People in general, but specifically white people, are being sold a bill of goods that every ill is their fault. Sadly, many are buying into this nonsense and bending over backwards to appease the accusers.
Just who is who in this battle. First off it is a historical fact the Democrat party was the obstacle to most of the advances, policies and law that addressed the inequities suffered by black people. Do some homework and you will find tacit Democrat opposition to the Civil Rights Act, to school desegregation. Senator Byrd a staunch Democrat for many many years was a member of the KKK.
None of the violence, none of the accusations against police, none of demands to erase history are justified or hold water.
Cleaning the swamp is never going to be enough if the citizens don’t step up and push back on the mindless rhetoric and knee jerk reactions from the left.
