Let's Talk About The Law

The bastardization of laws, resistance and plain defiance of the law at all levels is not only wrong-headed but downright dangerous to society.

God issued the first laws from the mountain and entrusted Moses to communicate them to the Jewish people. There was no wiggle room. The stone tablets said it all. Follow the commandments (law) or else. It wasn’t left up to the people to debate the veracity of the laws or choose which they wanted to follow. The law was the law. Period. Stop. End of Sentence.

Sadly, the simplicity of obeying any law is lost. Respect for law is just out of the question. Respect for those charged with enforcing the law is laughable.

Political parties, Government officials, courts and individuals assault laws as a way of life nowadays. The foundation of the republic is being shaken as states, municipalities, courts, schools and a vast number of organizations flout, bend and ignore our laws.

Just because a law exists means less and less as more and more turn their backs and thumb their noses in defiance.

Sanctuary states, cities and towns openly, aggressively and even violently refuse to follow the laws of the federal government. They conflate current conditions or situations as their reasons for opposition, espouse moralistic high ground and neglect to understand the very reason this law or that actually exists. The level of hubris they must employ is just over the top.

Changing laws to suit a particular agenda seems to be the modus operandi. The twisting and turning of the convoluted arguments torture the law. Even our highest court is now accused of being a partisan pawn and in need of reconfiguring. If you don’t like the results change the rules. And while you are at it erase the foundation of the country by eradication of the Electoral College, middle Americas only protection from the steamrolling coastal elites.

The founders created the Second Amendment so that the people could always protect themselves from a rogue government. Certain restrictions on ownership were probably prudent over time. However, the assault on gun ownership in general is at a fever pitch.

Once again, if you can’t be successful the way things are change the rules.

Man (humans) forget that God was the original and only authority and obedience was not an option. Selective disobedience and outright disregarding laws will ultimately undermine the foundation of civilization and damn us all to a life of chaos.
