This morning e-mail from Huffington Post was a picture of what is wrong with the current divide in the country. Let’s attack the headline stories one at a time
Warren: END THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE.
If that is not an extension of the sour grapes the Democrats have from Hilary losing the electoral college votes and garnering a larger popular vote. One might, on the surface, say that the one with most individual votes wins. However you will be neglecting to see where those individual votes came from. Almost exclusive the numbers in the Democrat column were from the liberal bastions of California and New York not to mention some other metropolitan areas in other states. Abolishing the college would then ignore the smaller counts in less populated states that are historically conservative or at least more center than the liberal Dems. This would give way too much power to density.
BEZOS GIRLFRIENDS BROTHER ‘SOLD PRIVATE TEXTS’
Private investigators claim they have determined that the brother of Laura Sanchez was the one who supplied the salacious text between the lovers. In my opinion this is just another example of loyalty that wilts in the face of money. In this case the amount paid by the National Inquirer was $200,000. Et Tu Brute.
ONLY 1 in 5 BELIEVE TRUMP OPPOSES WHITE NATIONALISM.
Doing the math translates to 20%. In other words 80% believe that the President of the United States Donald J. Trump is a White Nationalist support at the least and worse is one himself. The absurdity of this is beyond laughable. In order to subscribe to this mantra a blind eye must be turned on the people who surround him. Women and minorities hold powerful positions in the administration. He has also specifically created and implemented major programs for the black community.
Black conservatism is on the rise but is ignored.
REPUBLICAN LAWMAKER POSTS VIOLENT CIVIL WAR MEME.
Steven King (R ) remember him, he is the congressman who was denounced by his own party and stripped of all his congressional committee assignments for certain comments that smacked of white nationalism (Unlike Rep Ilan Omar (D ) who in spite of spouting anti-Semitic rhetoric was not even chastised.). Anyhow he posted the meme comparing the red and blue states and wondering who would win in a civil war because the red states has “8 trillion bullets”
LIMBAUGH CLAIMS MOSQUE SHOOTER IS A GREEN NEW DEAL SUPPORTER.
Rush Limbaugh is advancing the theory that the shooter who killed 49 in New Zealand was somehow acting to promote emotions that smear right or conservative policies. I don’t know about this conspiracy but I do think that the “White Supremacist” label that is being used to identify the shooter is over done. The man clearly was a lunatic and his brain was not only focused on non-whites but in killing Muslims. His manifesto is a typical rambling disjointed diatribe of a mad man.
MUSLIM PRAISE NZ PM FOR EMPATHY.
American Muslims are making a clear distinction between the Prime Minister of New Zealand comments and threat to take strict gun control action as opposed to what they are saying is a luke warm response from President Trump. You have to understand that no matter what the President does or says in these situations will only be used against him. If he traveled to New Zealand to pay his respects it would be labeled politicizing the murders to achieve a photo op. As long a Donald Trump is in office he will be subjected to unwarranted and undeserved criticism.
WARREN: LET’S DISCUSS REPARATIONS.
Seriously this again. The Democrats are bankrupt of good policy ideas that will actually work that they are bringing out the hackneyed reparation issue as if it means anything to anyone other than the black community. Democrats have no shame when they deal with the black community. Holding on to the black voting block is essential and therefore what will be proposed in unlimited. The question is reparations for what? Slavery? I don’t believe that there are any living slaves so who is entitled to this windfall. Descendants of slaves have been receiving government largess in terms of programs and policies aimed specifically at their communities. In fact the government created an entire agency, the Equal Opportunity Agency, to make sure blacks are not discriminated against, not to mention Minority Owned Business certifications to give them advantage over other businesses in the marketplace. Reparations are merely a talking point that gets the black community energized and hopefully to the poles.
U.S ISLAMIC COUNCIL: BOYCOTT FOX NEWS
This organization, like so many of other supposed Muslim social groups, are fronts for Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood, both of which have been labeled as terrorist groups. The call is for advertisers to boycott and management take action. How Fox once again becomes the focus of the ire is that Judge Janine Pirro had the temerity to question how a congresswomen who wears a hijab in keeping with the sharia in the Quran could possibly have divided loyalty. After all the Quran forbids followers to swear allegiance to anything other than Islam. Sadly Fox is becoming spineless in the face of being challenged and suspended Judge Janine and her show.
DONNA BRAZILE JOINS FOX NEWS
Fox News has invited yet another wolf into the chicken coup. The former head of the Democratic National Committee and CNN contributor has become a member of the Fox News personnel. Remember her she passed the debate questions to the Clinton camp. The Fox management is showing signs of watering down the voices on the network. The value of Fox has always been to be a counter point to the far left in politics, media and elsewhere. That value is being eroded one small step at a time.
PUTIN SIGNS ‘FAKE NEWS’ LAW.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law banning ‘fake news”. Donald Trump must be jealous because Putin can do something about the lies in the media. Although he is former KGB and is really looking to punish the media that criticizes him. It is just that our President can bitch and complain all day long about ‘fake news” but can’t do much about it. That is a good thing, after all we are not Russia.
These are things that fly around and touch our daily lives. Attention must be paid to what the left is saying so that it can be refuted. Don’t be afraid to stay informed by the left, you will need the information. They create stories with holes so large you can drive a truck through them.
